In the Spring of 2011 I made several motor yacht deliveries throughout the US East Coast, Florida, New York City, Great Lakes, Upper State New York, New Hampshire and Boston. One trip was a very nice Egg Harbor 38' from Boston to Cleveland. This took us through Long island Sound, NYC, Hudson River, Erie and Oswego Canals, Lake Ontario and Erie and the Welland Canal. I really enjoyed the scenery in upper state NY and had a good time in NYC. We went through 42 locks and I think I added 6" of muscle to my upper body fending this boat off the lock walls. Another trip was on a 70' Hatteras offshore from Ft Lauderdale to Portsmouth, NH. We stopped in Charleston, SC, Ocean City, MD, and Newport, RI. We were fortunate to have good weather most of the trip and the boat was very comfortable. Danny and Allen were great crew and the owner and family had a good time on the last leg. The other trip was a fun trip up the ICW from Florida to Philadelphia. We saw several bald eagles, osprey, dolphin, etc. The Mainship 42 really handled nicely and the owner and I had a good time eating at some nice restaurants and enjoying the scenery.
