| Cruising Florida and the Bahamas |
In July 2007 Ross owner, Dan, Kathleen and Pete set out from Jacksonville for Miami and the Bahamas. We left Jacksonville expecting to find a few thunderstorms offshore and some headwinds and we were not disappointed. We eventually decided to head to the ICW and enjoy the scenery along this beautiful waterway. What better way to spend the July 4 weekend than cruising the ICW and then crossing the Gulf Stream to Gun Cay in the Bahamas. We then enjoyed the Bahamian Independence Celebration in Nassau and the Exumas. What a contrast between Nassau and the Family Islands. We saw the giant aquarium and made a contribution at the Atlantis Casino in Nassau and then went snorkeling where they filmed two James Bond movies in the Exumas. I never get tired of seeing that beautiful water in the Bahamas. What a fun trip!!! |
